The Homestead Assisted Living Center

One of the things we do as a choir is to perform mini concerts for the Assisted Living Centers in the area.  Our most recent trip was to the Homestead Assisted Living Center in Rexburg, Idaho.  The residents love it when we come.  On this particular day, one of the residents got really into our performance.  Our theme was "Let's Dance" and so all of our songs were about dancing and very upbeat.  This little lady got up and started to dance with us.  Kathy really played it up while she was leading.
The other ladies in the choir really enjoyed singing that day.

ANNOUNCING THEME FOR SPRING CONCERT

After working very hard this semester to present Handel's Messiah, (which, by the way, will be awesome!), we have decided to lighten up for spring.

Get ready to put on your dancing shoes because the theme for next semester is LET'S DANCE!!  We have chosen some very fun songs all about dancing and different kinds of dances.  We'll sing about the Can Can, the Charleston, Samba, the Twist, etc.!  Sound fun?

We will accept new members next semester.  This is an open invitation choir--no auditions.  We want to have ladies who love to sing and have fun.  Our rehearsals will begin on Jan. 8th at 9:00 a.m. in the Rexburg Tabernacle.  We rehearse for two hours each Thursday morning.  Our concert will be on Monday, May 11, 2015.  Our dues are $25.00 for the semester.  This covers the cost of the music, which you get to keep and also for the rent on the building.

If anyone is interested please contact Paula Sonderegger at 356-0219, or Kathy Orton at 356-4154 so that we can order enough music.  See you in January!
